Description

Following the success of the 3rd and 4th and Annual Research Student Conferences, the key theme for the 2014 Conference continues to be research students’ learning experiences in conducting educational research. The conference features keynote presentations, as well as past and current PhD students presenting papers or posters on this theme. PhD Supervisors have also been invited to report on their research via posters.

The keynote presentations for the 2014 Research Student Conference will be given by:

  • Professor Michael Fielding, Institute of Education, University of London: "Beyond student voice – Patterns of Partnership and the demands of deep democracy"

  • Dr Nollaig Frost, Middlesex University: "Why conduct pluralistic qualitative research? Potential and pitfalls"


  • Dr Pamela Woolner, University of Newcastle: "Achieving change in education: the role of the physical learning environment"
